Riwayat Hidup dan Keluarga Lahir Beliau lahir di kota Tarim Beliau dibesarkan dan dididik dalam rumah kemuliaan, ketaqwaan dan ilmu. Wafat Beliau Imam Abu Bakar Sakran wafat di Tarim pada tahun 821 H. Keluarga Imam Abu Bakar Sakran dikarunia lima orang anak laki, yaitu Muhammad al-akbar, Hasan, Abdullah, Ali, dan Ahmad. Dari ketiga anaknya yang bernama Abdullah, Ali dan Ahmad menurunkan keluarga al-Aydrus, Syahabuddin, al-Masyhur, al-Hadi, al-Wahath, al-Munawar. Sosok yang Banyak Ibadah, dan Gelar As-Sakran Mabuk Beliau digelari As-Sakran mabuk, karena beliau mabuk cintanya kepada Allah swt. Pernah selama sebelas bulan tidak tidur siang maupun malam, meski demikian beliau masih memperdengarkan hadrahna. Beliau seringkali tak sadarkan diri saat berdzikir kepada Allah, berdoa, bertawasul kepada para wali. Beliau banyak berperasangka baik dan mendoakan anak anaknya, suatu kali pernah dinyalakan di bawah beliau api yang panas saat berada di Mihrabnya waktu itu musim yang sangat panas, beliau malah mengeluhkan kedinginan dan begitu juga di musim panas. 3. Karamah Beliau Beliau adalah seorang wali Allah yang mempunyai berbagai macam karamah yang luar biasa. Beliau berasal dari keturunan Al-Ba’alawi. Sebahagian dari karamahnya pernah diceritakan bahawasanya pernah ada dua orang yang datang ke kota Tarim Hadhramaut dengan maksud mengunjungi setiap orang terkemuka dari keluarga Al-Ba’alawi yang berada di kota tersebut. Setibanya di suatu masjid jami’ keduanya dapati Syeikh Abu Bakar sedang bershalat di masjid tersebut. Setelah shalat Jum’at selesai keduanya menunggu keluarnya Syeikh Abu Bakar dari masjid. Namun beliau tetap duduk beribadah dalam masjid sampai hampir matahari terbenam. Kedua orang itu merasa lapar, tapi keduanya tidak berani beranjak dari masjid sebelum bertemu dengan Syeikh Abu Bakar. Tidak lama kemudian, Syeikh Abu Bakar Asseggaf menoleh kepada mereka berdua sambil berkata “Ambillah apa yang ada dalam baju ini”. Keduanya mendapati dalam baju Syeikh itu sepotong roti panas. Roti tersebut cukup mengenyangkan perut kedua orang tersebut. Bahkan masih ada sisanya. Kemudian sisa roti itu barulah dimakan oleh Syeikh Abu Bakar”. Ada seorang diceritakan telah meminang seorang gadis. Syeikh Abu Bakar ketika mendengar berita tersebut telah memberikan komentarnya “Pemuda itu tidak akan mengawini gadis itu, ia akan kawin dengan ibu gadis tersebut”. Apa yang diceritakan oleh Syeikh Abu Bakar ersebut ternyata benar, kerana tidak lama kemudian ibu gadis itu diceraikan oleh suaminya. Kemudian pemuda itu membatalkan niat untuk mengawini gadis tersebut. Bahkan sebagai gantinya ia meminang ibu gadis tersebut. Diceritakan pula bahwa ada serombongan tetamu yang berkunjung di Kota Tarim tempat kediaman Syeikh Abu Bakar Sakran. Tetamu itu tergerak di hatinya masing-masing ingin makan bubur gandum dan daging. Tepat waktu rombongan tetamu itu masuk ke rumah Syeikh Abu Bakar, beliau segera menjamu bubur gandum yang dimasak dengan daging. Kemudian sebagian dari rombongan tersebut ada yang berkata “Kami ingin minum air hujan”. Syeikh Abu Bakar berkata kepada pembantunya “Ambillah bejana itu dan penuhilah dengan air yang ada di mata air keluarga Bahsin”. Pelayan itu segera keluar membawa bejana untuk mengambil air yang dimaksud oleh saudagarnya. Ternyata air yang diambil ari mata air keluarga Bahsin itu rasanya tawar seperti air hujan. Pernah diceritakan bahawasanya ada seorang Qadhi dari keluarga Baya’qub yang mengumpat Syeikh Abu Bakar Asseggaf. Ketika Syeikh Abu Bakar mendengar umpatan itu, beliau hanya berkata “Insya-Allah Qadhi Baya’qub itu akan buta kedua matanya dan rumahnya akan dirampas jika ia telah meninggal dunia”. Apa yang dikatakan oleh Syeikh Abu Bakar tersebut terlaksana sama seperti yang dikatakan. Ada seorang penguasa yang merampas harta kekayaan seorang pelayan dari keluarga Bani Syawiah. Pelayan itu minta tolong kepada Syeikh Abu Bakar Asseggaf. Pada keesokkan harinya penguasa tersebut tiba-tiba datang kepada pelayan itu dengan mengembalikan semua harta kekayaannya yang dirampas dan dia pun meminta maaf atas segala kesalahannya. Penguasa itu bercerita “Alu telah didatangi oleh seorang yang sifatnya demikian, demikian, sambil mengancamku jika aku tidak mengembalikan barangmu yang kurampas ini”. Segala sifat yang disebutkan oleh penguasa tersebut sama seperti yang terdapat pada diri Syeikh Abu Bakar. Diceritakan pula oleh sebagian kawannya bahawasanya pernah ada seorang ketika dalam suatu perjalanan di padang pasir bersama keluarganya tiba-tiba ia merasa haus tidak mendapatkan air. Sampai hampir mati rasanya mencari air untuk diminum. Akhirnya ia teringat pada Syeikh Abu Bakar Asseggaf dan menyebut namanya minta pertolongan. Waktu orang itu tertidur ia bermimpi melihat seorang penunggang kuda berkata padanya “Telah kami dengar permintaan tolongmu, apakah kamu mengira kami akan mengabaikan kamu?” Waktu orang itu terbangun dari tidurnya, ia dapati ada seorang Badwi sedang membawa tempat air berdiri di depannya. Badwi itu memberinya minum sampai puas dan menunjukkannya jalan keluar hingga dapat selamat sampai ke tempat tujuan. Terkadang beliau disaksikan di Ka’bah padahal beliau berada di kota Tarim. Beliau sangat dihormati dan dilebihkan daripada saudaranya yang lain oleh ayahnya dan banyak memujinya, begitu juga saudaranya Syeikh Umar Muhdar banyak memujinya, di antara keduanya terdapat kesamaan dalam rohaniah, rahasia dan kecintaan. Memang beliau memiliki banyak karamah yang luar biasa, adik beliau Syeikh Umar Muhdar berkata tentang beliau “Kalau kita semua wahai keluarga Abdurrahman Assegaf diletakkan dalam satu timbangan dan Abu Bakar berada pada timbangan yang lain pasti timbangan Abu Bakar lebih berat.” Putera beliau Syeikh Al Imam Ali bin Abu Bakar memuji beliau dalam syairnya “Beliau sosok tercinta dan terpanggil kehadirat illahi dengan benarSeperti Samnun dan Ma’ruf yang besar kedudukanyaBeliau memiliki kebesaran kedudukan yang tinggiDan Ismail yang memiliki kedudukan yang tinggi.” 4. And I testify, our lord Muhammadan `abduhu warasuluh. Help billahi wa malaikatihi wa kutubihi wa rusulihi wa bil yawmil end wabil qadari khayrihi wa syarrihi, shadaqallahu wa shadaqa rasuluh, shadaqallahuwashadaqa rusuluh. Muhammad is His servant and messenger. I have faith in Allah and His angels; His books; His messengers; Judgment Day; and the existence of destiny, good or bad. True God, and indeed His Apostles. Amantu bisy-shari’ati wa shaddaq-tu bisy-syafi’ah. Wa in qultu syay-an khi-lafal ijma’i raja’tu fanhu watabarra’tu min kulli dinin yukhalifu dinal Islam. I believe in the Shari’a and I justify the Shari’a. If I say something different from the ulama ijrnak agreement, I immediately revoke it. And I let go of every religion that is not compatible with Islam. Allahumma inni uminu bima ta’lamu annahul haqqu Indaka wa abra-u ilayka mimma talamu annahul haqqu indaka wa abra-u ilayka mimma talamu annahul bathilu Indaka fakhudz minni jumalan wala tuthalibni fit-taf-shili. O Allah, verily I believe in something that You know that it is true of You, and I release from You something You know that it is null and void. Then take it from me all in all and do not torture me in isolation. Astagh-firullahal `adhim wa atubu ilayhi – 3 x. I beg forgiveness from Allah, the Supreme Being, and I repent to Him – 3 x Nadamtu min kulli syarrin. And indeed heaven is true, hell is true, and kulla ma akh-bara bihi Rasulullahi sallallaahu alayhi wasallama haqqun. Wa anna khayrad dun-ya everything that the Prophet said was true. And the real good of the world wal akhirati fii taqwallahi wa tha’atihi, wa annasy-syarrad dun-ya wal akhirati fi ma’shiyatillahi and the afterlife lies in piety to Allah, and obeys Him. And actually the ugliness of the world and the hereafter lies in immorality to Allah wamukhalafatihi. Wa annas sa’ata atiyatun la rayba fiha wa annallaha yab’atsu man fil qubur. and against him, and the Day of Resurrection must come, no doubt, and God will raise up the corpse in the tomb, no doubt. The teachings of la-ilaha illallahu wandahu la syarika lahu, wa asy-hadu anna sayyidana Muhammadan rabduhu wa rasuluhu. Wa ila hadh-ratan nabiyyi sayyidina Muhammadan sallallaahu `alayhi wa overtook wa-sallama. Al Fatihah. Some of his karamah have been told that there were once two people who came to the city of Tarim Hadhramaut with the intention of visiting every prominent person from the Al-Ba’alawi family in the at a mosque Jami both found Sheikh Abu Bakar praying at the mosque. After Friday prayers, the two were waiting for Sheikh Abu Bakr’s exit from the mosque. But he still sat worshiping in the mosque until almost sunset. The two people felt hungry, but the two did not dare to leave the mosque before meeting Sheikh Abu long after, Sheikh Abu Bakar Asseggaf turned to the two of them while saying “Take what is in this shirt.”Both found in the Sheikh’s clothes a piece of hot bread. The bread is enough to fill the stomachs of the two people. Even there is still the rest. Then the remaining bread was eaten by Sheikh Abu is told to have asked for a girl. Sheikh Abu Bakar when he heard the news had commented “The young man will not marry the girl, he will marry the girl’s mother”.What was said by Sheikh Abu Bakar was apparently true, because not long after the girl’s mother was divorced by her husband. Then the young man canceled the intention to marry the girl. In fact, instead she proposed to the girl’s was also told that there was a group of guests who visited the city of Tarim where Shaykh Abu Bakar Asseggaf lived. The guest was moved in his heart each wanting to eat oatmeal and meat. Just when the group of guests entered Sheikh Abu Bakar’s house, he immediately served oatmeal cooked with some of the group said “We want to drink rain water”.Sheikh Abu Bakar said to his assistant “Take the vessel and fill it with water in the Bahsin family spring”.The servant immediately came out carrying a vessel to take water as meant by his brother. It turned out that the water taken from the Bahsin family’s spring was tasteless like was once told that there was a Qadhi from the Baya’qub family who cursed Sheikh Abu Bakar Asseggaf. When Sheikh Abu Bakr heard the curse, he only said “God willing, Qadhi Baya qub will blind both his eyes and his house will be taken away if he dies”.What Sheikh Abu Bakar said was done the same as was a ruler who seized the wealth of a servant from the Bani Syawiah family. The servant asked Sheikh Abu Bakar Asseggaf for help. On the next day the ruler suddenly came to the servant by returning all his possessions which were seized and he apologized for all his ruler told me “Alu has been visited by someone of this nature, so, while threatening me if I do not return your belongings that I have taken away”.All the attributes mentioned by the ruler are the same as those found in Sheikh Abu was also told by some of his friends that there had never been someone when on a trip in the desert with his family he suddenly felt thirsty not getting water. Until it almost died it felt like looking for water to drink. Finally he remembered Sheikh Abu Bakar Asseggaf and called his name for the person falls asleep he dreams of seeing a horseman say to him “We have heard your request for help, do you think we will ignore you?”When the man woke up from his sleep, he found that a Badwi was carrying a place of water standing in front of him. The Badwi gave him a drink until he was satisfied and showed him the way out so that he could safely get to his destination. An especially powerful litany of protection passed down and recited by the Bā ʿAlawī Litany of Abī Bakr as-Saqqāf, God be pleased with himA powerful litanty [wird] from the Saint and Scholar, Imām Abū Bakr bin ʿAbd al-Raḥmān as-Saqqāf used for protection from all evils from humans, jinn, people in positions of power and whatever else that tries to harm Kāẓim as-Saqqāf instructed all of the students of Sacred Knowledge during his Australian Tour in 2019 within Sydney to recite it three 3 times a day due to the heavy pressure of the demons of the humans and jinn, black magic [sihr] and all other evil activities and sins that are rampant in our be recited three 3 times a day as recommended by Ḥabīb Kāẓim as-SaqqāfOnce in the morning, preferrably after the Dawn Prayer [fajr];Once any time during the day, such as after the Noon Prayer [ẓuhr];Once in the evening, preferrably after the Sunset Prayer [maghrib].ARABICأَعُوذُ باِللّٰهِ مِنَ ٱلشَّيْطَانِ ٱلرَّجِيمْبِسْمِ اللّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمْأَلْلَّـٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَحْتَطْتُ بِدَرْبِ اللّٰهِ، طُولُهُ مَا شَاءَ اللّٰهُ، قُفلهُ لَا إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهَ، بَابُهُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولٌ اللّٰهِ صَلىٰ اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ، سَقْفَهُ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِٱللّٰهِ ٱلْعَلِيِّ ٱلْعَظِيمِأَحَاطَ بِنَا مِنْبِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ ﴿١﴾الْحَمْدُ لِلَّـهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ﴿٢﴾الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ ﴿٣﴾مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ ﴿٤﴾إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ ﴿٥﴾ اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ ﴿٦﴾صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ ﴿٧﴾سُورٌ سُورٌ سُورٌوَآيَةُاللَّـهُ لَا إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ ۚ لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ ۚ لَّهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۗ مَن ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِندَهُ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ ۚ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ ۖ وَلَا يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِّنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلَّا بِمَا شَاءَ ۚ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ ۖ وَلَا يَئُودُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا ۚ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ ﴿٢٥٥﴾بِنَا ٱسْتَدَارَتْ كَمَا ٱسْتَدَارَتِ ٱلْمَلَائِكَةُ بِمَدِينَةِ ٱلرَّسُولِ، بِلَا خَنْدَقٍ وَلَا سُورٌ، مِنْ كُلِّ قَدَرٍ مَقْدُورٌ، وَحَذَرٍ مَحْذُورٌ، وَمِنْ جَمِيعِ بِٱللّٰه ثلاثاًمِنْ عَدُوِّنَا وَعَدُوِّ اللّٰهِ، مِنْ سَاقِ عَرْشِ اللّٰهِ إِلىٰ قَاعِ أَرْضِ اللّٰهِ بِمَائَةِ أَلْفِ أَلْفِ أَلْفِ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِٱللّٰهِ ٱلْعَلِيِّ لَا تَنْقَطِعُ بِمَائَةِ أَلْفِ أَلْفِ أَلْفِ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِٱللّٰهِ ٱلْعَلِيِّ لَا تَنْشَقُّ بِمَائَةِ أَلْفِ أَلْفِ أَلْفِ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِٱللّٰهِ ٱلْعَلِيِّ إِنْ أَحَدٌ أَرَادَنِي بِسُوءٍ مِنَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلإِنْسِ وَٱلْوُحُوشِ وَغَيْرِهِمْ مِنْ سَائِرِ ٱلْمَخْلُوقَاتِ مِنْ بَشَرٍ أَوْ شَيْطَانٍ أَوْ سُلْطَانٍ أَوْ وَسْوَاسٍ، فَٱرْدُدْ نَظَرَهُمْ فِي ٱنْتِكَاسٍ، وَقُلُوبَهُمْ فِي وَسْوَاسٍ، وَأَيْدِيهِمْ فِي إِفْلَاسٍ، وَ أَوْبِقْهُمْ مِنَ ٱلرِّجْلِ إِلىٰ ٱلرَّأْسِ، لَا فِي سَهْلٍ يَقْطَعُ، وَلَا فِي جَبَلٍ يَطْلَعُ بِمَائَةِ أَلْفِ أَلْفِ أَلْفِ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِٱللّٰهِ ٱلْعَلِيِّ اللّٰهُ عَلَىٰ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ الْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ ﴿١٨٠﴾وَسَلَامٌ عَلَى الْمُرْسَلِينَ ﴿١٨١﴾وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّـهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ﴿١٨٢﴾فِي كُلِّ لَحْظَةٍ أَبَداً، عَدَدَ خَلْقِهِ، وَرِضَىٰ نَفْسِهِ، وَزِنَةَ عَرْشِهِ، وَمِدَادَ billāhi min ash-shayṭān ar-rajīmBismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīmAllāhumma innī aḥtaṭtu bidarbillāh, tūluhu mā shā Allāh, qufluhū lā ilāha ill Allāh, bābuhū Muḥammadur rasūlullāhi ṣall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa ālihī wa sallam, ṣaqfuhū lā ḥawlā wa lā quwwata illā billāhil ʿaliyyil ʿaẓīm;Aḥāṭa binā minBismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm ﴾١﴿ Alḥamdulillāhi rabbil ʿālamīn ﴾٢﴿ Ar-raḥmānir raḥīm ﴾٣﴿ Māliki yawmiddīn ﴾٤﴿ Iyyāka naʿbudu wa iyyāka nastaʿī ﴾٥﴿ Ihdinaṣ ṣirāṭal mustaqīm ﴾٦﴿ Ṣirāṭal ladhīna an`amta `alayhim, ghayril maghdūbi ʿalayhim walaḍḍāllīn ﴾٧﴿[Sūra al-Fātiḥa 1, Verses 1-7]Sūrun sūrun sūr;Wa āyatu;Allāhu lā ilāha illā huwal ḥayyul qayyūm Lā ta’khudhuhū sinatuw wa lā nawm Lahū mā fissamāwāti wa mā fil’ arḍ Man dhalladhī yashfaʿu ʿindahū illa bi’idhnihi Yaʿlamu ma bayna aydīhim wa mā khalfahum Wa lā yuḥīṭūna bishay’im minʿilmihī illā bimā shā’ Wasiʿa kursiyyuhus samāwāti wal arḍa Wa lā ya’ūduhū hifẓuhumā Wa huwal ʿaliyyul ʿaẓīm ﴾٢٥٥﴿[Sūra al-Baqara 2, Verse 255]Binastādarat kamastadāratil malā’ikatu bi madīnatir rasūl, bilā khandaqin wa lā sūr, min kulli qadarin maqdūr, wa ḥadharin maḥdhūr, wa min jamīʿish shurūr,Tatarrasnā billāh 3 timesMin ʿaduwwinā wa ʿaduwwillāh, min sāqi ʿarshillāhi, ila qaʿi arḍillāhi, bi mi’ati alfi alfi alfi lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāhil ʿaliyyil ʿaẓīm;Ṣinʿatuhū lā tanqaṭiʿu bi mi’ati alfi alfi alfi lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāhil ʿaliyyil ʿaẓīmm;ʿAzīmatuhū lā tanshaqqu bi mi’ati alfi alfi alfi lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāhil ʿaliyyil ʿaẓīmm;Allāhumma in aḥadun arādanī bi sū’in minal jinni wal insi wal wuḥūshi wa ghayrihim min sā’iril makhluqāt; There is no deity but Him; the Ever-Living, the Self Subsisting, the Eternal One. Neither slumber nor sleep can overtake Him. He Knows what will happen to them His creatures in this world and what will happen to them in the Hereafter; nor shall they comprehend anything at all of His Knowledge except as He Wills.
